Review: Freeman Feeling Beautiful Shea Body Butter Olive (150ml)

It's a beautiful Sunday evening at Allensbach. The fog has cleared and here comes the sun. I might just head out for another stroll. (^^) Before that, I'm going to update with another post. Compared to Malaysia, the air is much dryer here. Luckily, I brought my body butter! For anyone that doesn't want to keep on re-applying body-lotion, this might be your answer. =) Today's post will be on Freeman's Feeling Beautiful Shea Body Butter Olive (150ml)

[ Directions/ How I Use It ]
Massage liberally over the entire body until fully absorbed into skin.

[ What It Does ]
- Intensely moisturises skin for soft touchable skin =)

[ Ingredients ]
This body butter is made with natural, botanical ingredients.

(clicl on image for zoom-in view)
Water (Aqua),  Petrolatum, Stearic acid, Glyceryl Stearate Se, Isopropyl Palmtate, Glycol Stearate, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Cocos Nucifera (Cocomut) Oil, Olea Europaea (Olive) fruit Oil, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Menthyl Lactate, Cetyl Alcohol, Dimethicone Disodium Edta, Triethanolamine, Proplylene Glycol, Phenoxethanol, Methylparaben, Alpha Isomethyl Ionone, Benzyl Salicylate, Hexyl Cinnamal, Hydroxyisohexyl 3-cyclohexene Carboxaldehyde, Limonene, Linalool, Fragrance (Parfum)

[ Review ]
As you might already know from my previous post, I'm currently travelling overseas. So, I was looking for a body lotion/ body butter that is easy to carry in my luggage and the content just enough two weeks. Hence, I picked up this Freeman's Shea Body Butter Olive (150ml). Unlike other Freeman's product, this one doesn't have an artificial smell that is too strong. Actually, after applying for a few minutes, it smells a bit like baby powder fragrance that lingers on lightly. The body butter is of medium-thick consistency and absorbs into skin without any traces. I'm pleasantly surprised that it isn't oily or feels thick. (^^)

The moisturizing effect is immediate and lasts for about 8 hours. Best of all, I like that it contains natural ingredients.

[ Would I Buy It Again? ]
Rating: 7/10
This body butter works fairly well, and a 150ml will last you for about two weeks. Just nice for my trip! If the fragrance can be slightly milder, I'd love it more, but that may just be me. Surely, this is one of my favourite Freeman products. I would repurchase for travelling purposes.

Nevertheless, don't you think that the packaging is ugly? (><) Freeman packaging designers out there, what were u thinking?  /(?-?)\

Review: Garnier Skins Natural Aqua Defense Non Stop Intense Moisturizing Essence (50ml)

Good morning! or Guten Morgen ~ as they say it in Germany. I'm very sorry (deep bow) for not updating with a post sooner as I have been in Allensbach, Germany for the past few days. It's a beautiful autumn and the weather and temperature is just nice. Now that it's a Saturday, I can rest and relax a bit. Well, today's review is on Garnier Skins Natural Aqua Defence Essence (50ml). Although it is not a new product on the shelves, it's still worth a post. =)

[ Directions/ How I Use It ]
From the labels:
You may use it as an essence and apply after applying toner on your face.

For me:
I like to apply this at night as a sleeping mask. It is good!

[ What It Does ]
As you can see, the labels are in Malay. I will try my best to translate from Malay Language to English. o(^-^)o

Everyday our skin is exposed to heat, air pollution and air-conditioning that can leave our skin dry and dull. The essence not only helps hydrate your skin for a longer time but also protects skin from elements that are drying. Its cooling gel texture is will be absorbed instantly, and increases moisture content for the whole day, giving you soft smooth skin.

[ Ingredients ]
This essence is enriched with pure fruits extracts and Vitamin E antioxidants.

Garnier uses natural active ingredients as much as possible, which are extracted carefully to retain its natural goodness. The products are also tested by dermatologist and is especially formulated for Asian skin.

[ Review ]
For those that do not know which gel-type essences to purchase, you can try this one. Gel essences can help to lock moisture in our skin. If I use it as a day moisturizer, I'd apply this after the Hada Labo Hyaluronic Acid Toner , and under a sunscreen. It worked very well to lock in moisture for the whole day without any stickiness. (^^) Or, you may try it as a sleeping mask. Just slather a thick layer on clean face, and it will be absorbed slowly. Skin feels and looks soft and bouncy on the next morning!

First of all, it smells soooo refreshing, like green apples.  When applied on skin, there is a slight heating and tightening sensation for a few seconds.

[ Would I Buy It Again? ]
Rating: 7/10
I use this more as a moisturizer lock. Although it absorbs well, but not as quickly as liquid essence. Hence, if you are rushing for work in the morning for school/work, it will take some time to massage the gel for full absorption. Nevertheless, I loveee it as a sleeping mask. Ah, one more thing…the glass container is h-e-a-v-y, and not very travel-friendly. Other than that, this is a good product, worth repurchasing. (^^)b This is my 2nd jar. =p

Anyway, since I have some time, maybe I’ll go to the local German stores this weekend and check what they have here, eh? Have a great Saturday!!

Review: Shurei Salon System Fix It Hair Serum Split-Ends Treatment (50ml)

It's a beautiful weekend to relax, have a cup of tea, and let down our hair. As you might have guessed already, today's review is on a hair product. Many are curling or coloring our hair on a yearly basis. Unavoidably, hair might be a bit damaged or have split ends. For me, I like my hair to have a healthy glossy shine (^^) while still maintaining hair volume without looking greasy. Want to know more? Read on!

[ Directions/ How I Use It ]
- Pump 2 or 3 drops of air serum onto palm (rub both palms to spread serum evenly)
- Apply thoroughly on hair, concentrating on the hair ends
- Do not rinse off
Note: May be used daily on dry hair before styling or on clean moist hair after shampooing

[ What It Does ]
This serum contains a unique formula that works in 3 ways.
(1) It coats the shaft with a protective film that prevents further drying or damage to hair while giving it an instant silky smoothness and softness. Protects against split ends and repairs hair for a healtheir look.
(2) Its special UV shield effectively prevents sun damage, leaving hair silky smooth with its natural color.
(3) It adds gloss to hair without being sticky or greasy.

[ Ingredients ]
Dimethiconol, Cyclomethicone, Tocopheryl Acetate, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, C12-15 Alkyl Lactate, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Methylisothiazolinone.

[ Review ]
As my long hair is permed and dyed, it tends to be dry and frizzy. I like to run my fingers through the hair as a test, and really dislike it if hair is entangled. Well, I have been using many drug-store hair serums and this one seems to work best for my hair. Regular use have restored most of my hair's condition. It feels softer, silkier with a healthy shine! Hair doesn't get entangled anymore. =)

This product has no fragrance, as far as my nose can tell. =p When you pump out a few drops on the palms, the serum should look clear with medium consistency.

[ Would I Buy Again?]
Rating: 8/10
Yup, no doubt! It gives a healthy shine without any stickiness. Furtheremore, the more I use it, hair seem to be restored to a better condition. I love that there is no fragrance in it. (^^)v What's more, it cost below RM20. What a steal, right?

Special Note: If you plan to bring this on a flight, be sure to transfer to another bottle or the serum will leak out because its pump cannot be locked. (><) Take note ya.

Review: Secret Pearl Eyeliner Extreme Smooth Application (1.2g)

I'm waiting for my flight back to KL, and have some time to update with a post. Following my previous (^^) experience on Silkygirl Funky Eyelights Pencil, I was determined to continue my search for other affordable yet good eyeliner pencil as there is no white color for the Silkygirl range. This time, I wanted to try Secret Pearl Eyeliners, which were purchased at local Guardian stores. For those that are curious, Secret product range is actually from Follow Me, and they have a variety of colors to suite your mood every day.

[ Directions/ How I Use It ]
Similar to my previous post, kohl eyeliner pencils are the best for beginners. Just apply on upper lid near the lash line or on your lower lid lash line. For me, I smudge it out to achieve an eyeshadow function, or for a more dramatic/ sweet look.

[ What It Does ]
Adds definition to your eyes, with pearly colors. The texture is soft and doesn't tug or drag eyeslids. Example: You can play with its colors like a white eyeliner pencil drawn on your lower lid lash line can instantly make your eyes look brighter! It's a life saver when I look tired from lack of sleep.

[ Ingredients ]
Not stated on the pencil, and there are no further information on their website either. On the pencil, there's a stamp 'Made in Germany', with manufacturing date. =p

[ Review ]
These eyeliner pencils are indeed very soft and I like how it glides on the eyelids. The colors are rather sheer(not very pigmented), and chalky unlike the Silkygirl Funky Eyelights Pencils. These Pearl Eyeliner has tiny shimmers in them, but I find the shimmers too sparse, and the eyeliner application is uneven. In fact, the shimmers in the white eyeliner is silver-ish and hence make the white color look 'dirty'. (><) Nevertheless, they don't smudge for about 6-8 hours.

[ Would I Buy It Again? ]
Rating: 5/10
I am quite disappointed with the white-eyeliner as the tiny shimmers really does make the color looks dirty. Sigh, I'll be throwing this into my 'to-be-forgotten' drawer. )><( Luckily the other colors like Sweet Violet (SPE10) and Coral Pink (SPE6) aren't as bad.

Can anyone recommend me a good white eyeliner pencil?

Review: Rosken Skin Repair Whitening & Firming Cream 24hrs moisturization( 200ml)

Whenever I travel, a lotion will always be in my luggage. It's important to keep moisturised because skin will be exposed to the sun or dry weather. A good lotion should keep skin moisturized for the whole day. To check if we need more moisturizing lotion, try scratching your skin a bit, do you see a white scratch line? If there's a line, it means that skin is too dry. Today's post will be a review on Rosken Skin Repair Whitening & Firming Cream (200ml).

[ Directions/ How I Use It ]
Apply generously at least twice a day. Suitable for all over body use and all skin types. I like to apply this after my bath, when skin is still soft. You can also try applying before going to bed, and skin will feel very soft and smooth in the morning. Try it!

[ What It Does ]
With daily use, you may see
Immediately:
- 24 hours moisturization and leaves skin silky smooth.
- skin feels smooth, supple & hydrated
In 28 days:
- Firms the skin
- Improves skin tone
- Skin looks lighter, brighter and more radiant
In 60 days and with continued use:
- Skin is noticeably lighter/fairer
- Skin is more radiant
- Hyperpigented areas (brown marks, freckles, skin discoloration and age spots) are lighter

[ Ingredients ]
Rosken Whitening and Firming Nourishing Cream is a hydroquine-free, moisturizing body lotion containing Tosken's proprietary blend Whitenyl-Firm 11, plus antioxidant E and CoQ10.

It also contains:
Water, Almond Oil, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Dimethicone Glycerin, Octyldodecaol, Cyclomethicone, Cetearyl alchohol, Water (And) Pentylene Glyco (And) Sodium Lactate (And) Lactic Acid (And) Urea (And) Sorbitol (And) Sodium Chloride (And) Allantoin, Caprylic/ Capric Triglyceride (And) Diacetyl Boldine, Phenoxyethanol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Methyl Hydroxbenzoate, Propyl Hydrozybenzoate, Disodium Edta, Carbomer, Bht, Cetearth-20, Triethanolamine, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkylacrylates Cross Polymer Yeast Extract, Elastin, Imidazolidinyl Urea, Fragrance

[ Review ]
When I choose a lotion/cream, I look for long-lasting effect (whole day). Don't you hate it when skin gets dry even when you've applied lotion earlier on? Rosken's 24 hours nourishing cream is a life-saver, to keep my skin soft and hydrated throughout the day! Yippie..no more carrying a lotion in my bag to apply during mid-day. (><) It's heavy stuff. Furthermore, the more I apply it, I can see that my skin is getting better and better. After using this for a month, my skin looks and feels much better even without any lotion! That was a wow factor for me, as my skin was repaired. (^^)

The texture? It is white and feels slightly more fluid than a cream. Absorbs immediately! Loveeee~

Does it whitens and firms? Oh yes, it does. I apply this on my thighs and they are looking great (^.*) As for the scent, it has a mild soft fragrance which isn't really noticeable.

[ Would I Buy It Again? ]
Rating: 8/10
It really works, seriously. If you have dry skin, you should try and feel the difference. This product moisturizes, firms and whitens. For best whitening effect, I recommend  applying a sunscreen afterwards. I have one at home, another one in the car, and also one more at the office. (^^)  My personal tip: concentrate application on elbows and knees to reduce darkness. It even works in repairing cracked heels!

If you noticed from the first photo, I also purchased another Rosken Cream, which is from the hydrating with Vitamin E range. That one is kinda good too, and suitable for sensitive skin. Let me know if you want a review on that ya.

Lots of love, Eisse J

Did You Know: Travelling Tips Before Flying with Budget Airlines - What You Need To Know

Hello everyone. I'm trying to squeeze another post while I'm over at Singapore. As I am taking Tiger airways this time, today's travelling tips will be related to travelling by air. When I first travelled alone, I was very nervous and wasn't sure what to prepare. So, here are some tips to be shared with you.

[ Booking Flight Tickets ]
There are many ways to book a ticket and most of us do it directly via websites using credit card or bank transfer. Sometimes, we tend to book 2 tickets together for a round trip (depart & return). For those that have a credit card in your home country(e.g. Malaysia) as well as another credit card in your destination country (e.g. Singapore), it may be cheaper if we surveyed a few airline companies and did a comparison of each separately. Seriously! (^^) In addition to that, book tickets early or during promotions for further savings. Do take note that are often promotions a few weeks before festive seasons.

[ Before Flying ]
Check your baggage limit (size and weight) of check-in as well as hand-carry luggage. If you want to pack more stuffs, choose a light-weight travelling bag, and carry your liquids in small containers and not as the original bottle. If you plan to hand-carry your luggage, pre-pack your liquids in resealable plastic bags.

Click here for further information: KLIA Website

Normally LCCT isn't very strict with the weight limits but it doesn't mean that the rules can be ignored. Beware that you might be charged for the extra luggage weight before the flight back from the destination country.

Try to bring clothes that doesn't crumple easily, and you won't have to worry about ironing your clothes during travelling. =) If you plan to do shopping, bring an extra duffel bag. This way, you don't have to spend unnecessary money in purchasing another bag. (*.^) -wink-

[ During Your Flight ]
Get as much sleep as possible during flight to maximize the time at your destination. Plan wisely (^^). Drink more water and avoid caffeinated drinks to stay hydrated, if you are on a long flight. For budget airlines, you have to pay for food/meals separately.

Well, that's all for now. Do you need any other tips? Let me know and I'll share them with you. Have a fun weekend!

Did You Know: We can easily make our own DIY face masks

#1. Did You Know? We can make our own DIY face mask? (^^)

I am a fan of Hada Labo on facebook, and today I read some interesting tips from their site and decided to share with you. I can't wait to try all of them! Here is one of their tips, with a summary poster attached. Stay tuned for more ladies.

First and foremost, you'll need just two items. (1)Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid (SHA) Moisturizing Lotion or Hada Labo Arbutin Whitening Lotion and, (2) Dry Paper Mask of any type. If you are staying in Malaysia/Singapore, you could get some at cosmetic shops such as SASA and Watsons.Once both are ready, you are ready to start your very first DIY face mask.

[ Easy Steps ]
Step 1. Cleanse your Face
Step 2. Pour sufficient amount of Lotion onto a dry paper mask, and let it soak for a while.
Step 3. Once the paper mask has fully absorbed the lotion , unfold the mask.
Step 4. Place mask onto face & relax for 10 - 15 minutes.
Step 5. Remove mask after Step 4, and gently pat the remaining Lotion until fully absorbed

Special Note: It is best to lie down flat on your back to prevent skin from sagging due to gravity!
(For a larger image, click the image below)
For the original source, click here

I'm surely going to try it this weekend. Did I mention how I love that this is much more affordable?
Have fun trying!

Review: Hada Labo Tamagohada AHA and BHA Cleanser / Face Wash (130g)

When I purchased the Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Lotion a while ago, it actually came attached with a small tube (50g) of cleanser from their AHA + BHA tamagohada range. Since many are still curious about the newly arrived Hada Labo products here, I've decided to do a review on their cleanser. Presenting you one of my favourite products of this month: Hada Labo's Tamagohado AHA + BHA Cleanser. Have you been searching a cleanser that exfoliates, prevents old skin buildup, yet still gentle for every-day use?

[ Directions/ How I Use It ]
From the label:
- Use twice daily. Squeeze sufficient amount onto your palm. Lather with water and massage onto face, using gentle circular motions. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.

[ What It Does ]
- Gently exfoliates skin to remove impurities, dirt & oil
- Polishes away dullness and refines skin's texture for visibly clear, smooth and radiant skin
- Skin pH balanced. Low irritation.
- Free of fragrances, mineral oil, alcohol & colorant
(Special note: This should be used with a sunscreen product)

[ Ingredients ]
Combination of AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid) & BHA (Salicylic Acid) provide clarity, brightness and promote skin cell renewal by preventing dead skin cell buildup. Skin's surface is renewed for a smoother texture.

Water, Butylene Glycol, Potassium Myristoyl Glutamate, PEG-20M, Lauramidopropyl Betaine, Stearic Acid, Lauraide DEA, Glycolic Acid, Lauric Acid, Betaine, Glycol distearate, POtassium Hyrroxide, Methylparaben, Salicylic Acid, Betaine/ Sodium PCA/ Sorbitol/ Serine/ Glycine/ Gutamic Acid/ Alanine/ Lysine/ Arginine/ Threonine/ Proline/ Methylpar

[ Review ]
If you learnt a bit of Japanese language,  then you know tamago refers to egg, and this cleanser can exfoliate cells to reveal smooth skin like beautifully peeled hard boiled egg. (^.*) Don't get what I mean? Watch the video below:

For the original link, click here.

I have used other exfoliating/scrub cleanser and most are either too harsh (contains hard grains/ watnut shell bits) and too drying with a tightness feeling after washing. However, this one has a white creamy texture and there are no grains/ hard shell bits that may rip or scratch your skin. In fact, it feels like a normal cleanser! For any area that needs more exfoliating, concentrate on that area of the face more. Easy, right? (^^) You may use the Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Lotion after cleansing, like I do.

For a clean face, just use a bit of product and you can create a rich lather. After rinsing off with water, skin looks clearer and fairer. It is free of fragrances, mineral oil, alchohol & colorant. Yeah! suitable for my sensitive skin and it worked so well that I finished the 50g sample and bought a bigger tube Hada Labo Tamagohada cleanser of 130g. =)  Affordable yet effective. High Five (^^)/*

[ Would I Buy It Again ]
Rating: 9/10
Love this cleanser! My face looks clearer & fairer with daily use (I use this every evening), even though I didn't scrub at all. It doesn't cause breakouts and is not drying. However, because this cleanser removes old skin, remember to apply a sunscreen afterwards for sun protection for day use. This cleanser also has a foaming version (recently arrived), but I can't seem to find it anywhere yet. Perhaps I should try that after I finish this tube, eh?

(For those that have used this cleanser, did you like it?)

Lots of love, Eisse J

Review: Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Lotion (170ml)

About a month ago, I did a review on the Hada Labo Whitening Lotion. As promised, here's my second review on Hada Labo products. (^^) If this is the first time you are reading this blog, their lotion actually refers to a toner. The packaging doesn't look like much, but this is one product that I didn't regret picking up. =)

[ Directions / How I Use It ]
From the label:
Use twice a day on a clean face.
Apply on palms and gently pat onto skin until thoroughly absorbed.

For me:
I only use this every morning, so that my face can stay moisturized throughout the day.One or two drops is enough for the whole face and neck. To apply, just use your palms and massage the lotion onto skin or gently pat it (Best for full absorption).

Play this video for a demonstration of patting.
The advertisement is in Japanese, but you'll get the idea. By the way, you just need to use a drop or two, unlike what the model in showing (><) You also don't have to pat that hard, she's being a bit over-dramatic here, don't you think? (=.=)"

For the original link, click here.

[ What It Does ]

- hydrates skin and helps  preserve its optimum moisture balance.
- replenishes and locks-in moisture for complete hydration. Skin feels significantly soft and supple.
- helps improve dry and dehydrated skin, leaving it silky smooth.
- skin pH balanced. Low irritation.
- free of fragrances, mineral oil, alcohol & colorant.

[ Ingredients ]
Contains advanced skin hydrating ingredient - Super Hyaluronic Acid, with twice the moisture retention capacity of Hyaluronic Acid ( 1 gm of Hyaluronic Acid is able to hold up to 6 liters of water). Replenishes essential moisture to visibly improve skin texture and prevent dryness so that skin will stay soft, hydrated and supple.

Water, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, PPG-10 Methyl Glucose Ether, Disodium Succinate, Methylparaben, Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Succinic Acid, Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate

[ Review ]

This product is highly raved on many blogs and also on the popular  taiwan show nu ren wo zui da å¥³äººæˆ‘最大. It also claims that 1 bottle is sold every 4 seconds in Japan! I would say that it is really suitable for people with dry-ish skin like me to keep skin hydrated for the whole day, especially before applying makeup. The texture is clear and feels a bit more silky/sticky compared to their other Whitening Lotion, but will disappear once fully absorbed. Furthermore, I love the fact that there is no fragrances, mineral oil, alcohol or colorant. So far, only Guardian is selling Hada Labo products and we are getting the ones that are made in China. It doesn't bother me, though.

[ Would I Buy It Again? ]
Rating: 10/10
Absolutely. I love it... after using for a few days, skin looks and feels better. [No more breakouts! \(^^)/] I use this daily in the morning, and the Whitening Lotion at night so that face stays boing! boing! Have fun patting away girls. =)
Is it just me? or is the background music sooooo relaxing........(~v~)

Review: Silkygirl Funky Eyelights Pencil (1.2g) made in Germany

When makeup feels boring or you just want to spice up a look, a pearly or shimmery colored eyeliner would be a nice touch. [What It Does]
The eyeliner pencils add definition to your eyes with very pigmented and beautiful colors.

Review: Schwarzkopf Gliss Kur Hair Repair Leave-In Conditioner Spray (200ml)

I picked up this bottle of moisture leave-in spray conditioner from Schwarzkopf because the packaging is so pretty. It's glossy pink! Besides, my hairstylist Ken also recommended this brand to me at his salon sometime ago. I'm lucky that I picked up a great product. Read on if you want silky smooth hair (^^) & to know more about this liquid silk gloss spray.

[Directions/ How I Use It]
The directions are printed in a language that is foreign to me (maybe it's German), so here's how I use it:
-Turn the bottle upside down to mix the foam with the pinkish liquid at the bottom.
-Spray the repair formula on your wet/dry hair.
-This is a leave-in conditioner, hence you DON'T need to rinse it off.
-Avoid the eyes

Review: Neutrogena UltraSheer Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF 50+ (PA+++) Helioplex

It's Friday~ Don't you just love Fridays? <3

Well, I'm from Malaysia and we have sunny days almost 365 days/year here(except for rainy days). Hence, I have tried many types of sunblock/sunscreens and I've found a pretty good one recently. Here's Neutrogena's UltraSheer Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF 50+ with Helioplex broad spectrum UVA-UVB PA+++. (I know, what a long name right? =p)

I purchased it from the local Guardian Stores with discount. Yes, I like sales, and it's the best time to try new products. (*.^) (If you like SPF for extra protection from the sun, you should also check-out the ZA Vitamin Lip Balm)

[Directions/How I Use It]
From the label on the back, it says:
-Apply liberally on body 15-30 minutes before sun exposure. Re-apply frequently to maintain protection, especially after sweating, swimming, towel drying or extended sun exposure.

As for me, although the labels says it's for body, I have tried it on my face for the past few weeks.
I apply a thin layer on my face early in the morning, above moisturizer and under my Revlon liquid foundation. (Some people say that we should put sunblock before moisturizer, I'm still reading about this) Besides that, my arms are also slathered with this sunblock, because I need to walk under the sun a lot. A girl has to protect herself from skin-aging, right?

[What It Does]
Neutrogena's Helioplex sunblock (SPF 50+, PA+++) is said to be a breakthrough in sun protection. Because it is stabilized with Helioplex, it provides superior balanced broad-spectrum protection against skin-aging UVA and burning UVB rays. This is combined with Dry Touch technology for an ultra-light non-shiny finish. This lightweight sunblock has a light fresh scent and is gentle enough for even sensitive skin.

Review: ZA Vitamin Lip with Sunscreen SPF 26

Another post for u guys, and this review is on ZA's Vitamin Lip. (^^) Actually, I purchased this before my Maybelline lip balm. Why? Because it tastes funny. It's salty. Seriously.

This Treatment Stick(exact words quoted from the packaging) has SPF 26 with pure Vitamin C, and that was the main reason I purchased it.. So, with hope that I get soft pink lips, I picked this up from the shelves.

[Directions/ How I Use It]
Extend stick out slightly and apply on lips.
Can be worn under lipstick.
For me, I apply at night(during the weekends) so that my lips can absorb vitamins =)

[What It Does]
Helps prevent sunburn, to maintain a young healthy look.
Higher SPF gives more sunburn protection

[Ingredients]
-Citrus flavoured with pure Vitamin C
-SPF 26 PA+++ UVA/UVB
(Active ingredient Octinoxate 7.4%)
-Mineral Oil, Polyglyceryl-2 Triisostearate, Paraffin, Ascorbic Acid, Trioctanoin, Octyl Methoxycinnamate, Petrolatum, Silica Dimethyl Silylate, Tocopherol, Orange Oil, Stearyl Glycyrrhetinate,  Tocopheryl Acetate, Diisostearyl Maate, BHT, Glyceryl Diisostearate, CI 19140

[Review]
I guess this is a lip balm if you are heading to the beach. Because the packaging stresses that it helps protect and prevent sunburn on lips. But, that doesn't explain the salty+sour(lemony) taste. (The sourness is from the pure Vitamin C?) It's a bit weird for me, frankly speaking.

Review: Maybelline New York Lip Smooth Color & Care (Lip Balm)

Hi again...since I carry this Refreshing Tinted Lip Balm(quoted from Maybelline =p) in my bag every day, I might as well do a review about it.
Presenting you my newest find - a lip balm for day use.

For cute, soft & kissable lips, first of all we need to drink enough water. Yup, that simple step will make a huge difference on our lips too. Actually, my hubby always reminds me to drink water. (^^) Besides drinking water and exfoliating our lips, having the right lip balm is important to me.

[Directions/ How I Use It]
Apply directly on lips (daily, if you can)

[What It Does]
-Revitalises dry/dull lips
-Gives moisturizing shine
-Softens & smoothens lips
-Protects lips from the sun (it has SPF 16 (^^)/)

Review: Nanowhite Refining Treatment Toner

I used to skip this step of using toner. Yea, yea...I know I shouldn't have done that. But I didn't see why it was necessary, nor did I pay attention to my pores on the face (><).

If you were like me, here is what a toner typically does. It balances the pH of skin after facial wash and also removes excess oil or dirt from face.

[Directions/ How I Use It]
After washing face, I will use around 2 drops of toner on a cotton pad and wipe from the nose to the cheeks (outwards, because my nose area is a tad more oily).

[What It Does]
This treatment toner tightens pores and removes excess facial oil.
It has Omega White-C, Allantoin, Orange Extract, Lemon Extract and Bilberry Extract to balance and hydrate the skin.

Review: Neutrogena Deep Clean Cleansing Lotion

Okay, i must admit that I bought this during the recent Watsons sales =p
(Kiasu-ism at its best, huh? hehe...)

For a bottle with 200ml cleansing lotion that costs below RM20, I was eager to find out if it works well.

[Directions]
Yippee for the pump....
This is how I used it for the past few weeks.
Just pump 3-4 times and massage a white(medium consistency) cleansing lotion onto face. The silky texture is heavenly...and I had fun massaging my face =)

Review: Hada Labo Arbutin Whitening Lotion (170ml)

I purchased some Hada Labo products recently (from Guardian) when it was on discount.
(Every girl loves SALES (^^)/)

Because I am tanned, moisturizing as well as whitening is important to me.
So, let's talk about the 170ml Whitening Lotion.
(It is called whitening lotion, but it is acts like a toner actually)

[Directions]
Use twice daily after cleansing face.
Apply on palms and gently pad onto skin until thoroughly absorbed.

[Ingredients]
-Contains Arbutin to fight dark spots. Smoothes and clarifies to optimize skin's radiance and translucency
(who doesn want radiance n translucency? (^^) 1 bottle plz)
-Vitamin C
-Hyaluronic Acid to hydrate intensely keeping skin soft & fair & supple
-Skin pH balanced. Low irritation.
-Free of fragrances, mineral oil, alcohol & colorant

[Review]
The texture is watery(like toner) and is easily absorbed by my skin even without patting.
There is no fragrances, mineral oil or alcohol, and hence skin is not irritated.

I have been using it for a month now, and I'm lovin it.
Face is boing! boing! hehe....=p
Not really drastic super-fast whitening though, I guess it may take some time.

[Would I Buy it Again?]
Rating: 8/10
Yup.
Its affordable and I like whitening products. =)
The more I use it, my skin seems to look better, soft and radiant.

Psst....by the way, I also bought some other Hada Labo produts.
Will review them soon.

(New Reviews: Click here for a review of the greatly raved Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Lotion. There is one sold everey 4 seconds in Japan! Another product worth mentioning is the Hada Labo Tamagohada AHA + BHA cleanser. It gently exfoliates and can be used daily to reveal smooth new skin.)
